San Francisco City of Bounty

Melissa cooked snapper and artichokes for dinner. So delicious.

Thursday night on my way home from work I noticed that my neighbors had set a bedframe out on the sidewalk with a “free” sign on it. I ignored it and walked by.
I have a queen size mattress and box springs that I’ve been sleeping on without a frame. It’s an extremely comfortable mattress that my brother gave to me and since then I’ve had my eye out for a cheap but decent-looking bedframe. Of course, there has never been a budget to indulge in such a luxery, and most bedframes that I like cost several hundred dollars.
A couple hours passed and I couldn’t help myself - my curiosity overcame my natural resistance to sorting through other people’s garbage. So I grabbed my tape measurer and measured my box spring, then stepped out on the sidewalk to measure the bedframe. It was a perfect fit. A queen size Ikea bedframe, natural wood finish that comes very close to matching my picture frames and the little wooden boxes from which I’ve built my desk. So I lugged it into the house and put it together, and it couldn’t be more perfect.

And Percy likes it too.

Jason,
The gods of treasure and trash are looking after you and the fates haven’t much interfered with your adventure in San Francisco. Snapper and artichokes sounds, looks, and — I am sure — tastes wonderful.
Thanks for the photo of Percy. The friends I am visiting have two terriers: Ace and Idgy. I have been out with them twice today.
Sleep well when you are not creating great art.
