It’s Not You, It’s Me.

November Muni Pass

November’s Muni Pass is purple and yellow. It’s a happy color scheme.

I haven’t been blogging much. Sorry. I’ve been busy and introspective.

Here’s a few notes to catch you up.

Add Andrew Bird to my list of crushes. Violinist, whistler, and vocalist, he’s mastered the art of all three and is so pleasant to hear, over and over again. I need to get other albums besides Armchair Apocrypha so that I don’t burn myself out.

Gingko Berries Stink So Bad

For the past five weeks the tree in the backyard has been bearing fruit. It’s a female ginkgo tree, and while extraordinairaly lovely, the fruit are the worst-smelling things I have ever encountered. And these stinky fruit litter the backyard like confetti, making it impossible for me to let Percy out back without him tracking the gooey, smelly mess all over the house. Even the smallest amount on your shoes can be pungent for the rest of the day. I’ve raked the yard three times hoping to curb the smell a little, and within two days they rain down as many as before. I feel like Tantalus eternally pushing his rock up the hill only instead of a rock, mine is a juicy berry that smells like body-odor, feces, cheese and foot rot. Hopefully most of them are fallen now, and the backyard will resume its normal, non-fragrant tranquility.

Started on a new art project. If I can get hold of a working video camera I’ll be in business!
