Working with Flash

Flash has been a headache. I know part of this is because I’m working with a twice-outdated version of the software, a once-outdated textbook, and am following online demonstrations of the most recent version. Two years ago my version of Flash was the most up-to-date. It’s daunting to learn software that is being revised faster than I can learn it.

Here’s all I’ve been able to come up with so far: (sample). It is a testament to how much more I have to learn.

    Jason,

I am in the dark ages with Flash which I don’t have on this computer and can’t get for various reasons. I have to wait until I am visiting someone who has a computer with it before I can watch the good stuff such as your animation.

I did study some computer programming back in the old days when we were still punching those 80 column cards. You cannot imagine. The old 5 inch floppies came along while I was still at it. The language I liked best was Pascal. It was once very influential but is now a dead language.

I was very good at designing the structure of a program but I never really got into actually writing all that code.

I am truly impressed that you even want to learn Flash.

    Robert
