Walk Like An Egyptian
Sunday, March 16th, 2008My video “Barely Legal” is part of the Fugitive Video Festival that is traveling around the world. Here is a link to the places they’ve shown. It’s really an exciting opportunity for me, because my work is traveling without any effort on my part.
I found out in an email the other day that Egypt has strict “standards & practices” regarding visible skin and my video wouldn’t be able to be shown because it’s too provocative.
Up to that point of receiving that email I was having a really shitty day. Let me tell you, there’s nothing like international censorship to put a smile on your face. It just puts everything in a completely different perspective. And the rest of my day was great.
